Topping’s Moving Service charges an hourly rate of $45 per man/per hour with a two hour minimum plus $0.50 per mile. A minimum deposit of $180 must be paid prior to scheduling. Normal hours of operation are 8am to 4pm. Moves that require service beyond 4pm will be charged an overtime rate of time and half ($67.50) per man/per hour starting at 4pm. Weekends and/or holidays are also outside our normal hours/days of operation. Services performed on weekends and/or holidays are subject to a minimum deposit of $270 prior to scheduling and an hourly overtime rate of $67.50 per man/per hour.
Client is responsible for drive-time + mileage to and from our location. Drive-time is determined by the drive-time stated on Google Maps only. Customer is not responsible for traffic or other unforeseen delays which could result in a drive-time beyond that which is stated on Google Maps.
We can disassemble and reassemble your furniture for you. Due to liability purposes however, we are unable to reassemble furniture that we did not disassemble.
Although we are happy to move washers, dryers and other appliances we are unable to install or uninstall due to liability
If Topping’s movers suspect bedbug infestation or other potential health hazards, they are advised to suspend services and exit the premise immediately. Client will be charged for drive-time and any services performed prior to suspicion of infestation (or other health hazards). Move will be postponed and deposit withheld until client can rectify the issue(s).
Client is responsible for providing Topping’s movers access to service locations. Client must be available to unlock any doors, gates etc. when necessary. If Topping’s movers are delayed in gaining access, client will be charged the applicable hourly rate until access can be granted. If access cannot be obtained, Topping’s movers will exit location and return to our office. Client will be charged the applicable hourly rate for any service provided up to that point.
Weather events likely to cause damage to property, road hazard, safety hazard or inaccessibility to pick-up or drop-off location(s) will result in services being rescheduled to the next business or next date available. If rescheduling is not possible, move can be cancelled and deposit refunded.
Topping’s Moving Service will not be liable for pre-existing damage or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control
Full payment is required either upon the completion of service or the following business day. If full payment has not been arranged by the second business day, client agrees to have any additional balance or money owed charged to the credit/debit card on file. We accept cash, check, credit/debit cards. *We do not charge a surcharge for credit/debit cards.
